Placement Bid Optimizer
Upload your Amazon Ads placement bulk file. Choose how aggressive to be, and Stratum retunes every Top of Search, Rest of Search, Product Page and audience bid from your own numbers, then hands back a file ready to re-upload. It all runs in your browser.

This is the placement bulk export (Amazon Ads > Bulk Operations with Placement Data for Campaigns ticked), not the plain campaign bulk. Accepts .xlsx / .xls.
Not the one who pulls the reports? Hand it to your VA (90 seconds)
- Pull the file. Amazon Ads > Bulk Operations > Download. Date range: last 30–60 days. Tick Sponsored Products Campaigns and Placement Data for Campaigns.
- Run it. Open this tool, drop that file in, pick a preset (Balanced is the default), click Preview optimized placements, and download the optimized file. Runs in the browser, nothing is uploaded.
- Apply it, then report back. Re-upload the downloaded file via Amazon Ads > Bulk Operations > Upload. Send back the number of placement changes, and re-run in 2–4 weeks.
How to download your placement bulk file
In Amazon Ads, open Bulk Operations > Download, pick your date range (last 30–60 days), and tick:
- Sponsored Products Campaigns
- Placement Data for Campaigns
That gives the tool the Bidding Adjustment rows with performance it needs.

Questions
What file do I upload?
Your Amazon Ads placement bulk file: the Sponsored Products bulk export that includes Placement Data for Campaigns, with the performance columns (impressions, clicks, spend, sales, orders). The tool reads the "Bidding Adjustment" rows for Top of Search, Rest of Search, Product Pages, Amazon Business, and any audience adjustments.
Does my file get uploaded anywhere?
No. Unlike most bid tools, this one runs entirely in your browser. Your spreadsheet is parsed on your own machine and never leaves it. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is stored, no account or email is required. You can watch the network tab: there are no data requests.
How does it decide each new placement bid?
You pick the method. It compares each placement's conversion rate (or ACOS) against the campaign average or a target you set, then scales the current bid adjustment up or down proportionally. Bid caps limit every placement type, hold and brake rules stop it touching your best and worst performers, and a minimum-data filter ignores placements without enough clicks to trust. Every change shows its reason on hover before you export.
What do I do with the exported file?
The export is a standard Amazon Ads bulk file with Operation set to "update" and your new percentages in place. Re-upload it through Amazon Ads > Bulk Operations. Re-run the optimizer every 2 to 4 weeks as fresh data comes in. Want the placement work done for you across the whole account? The Audit Dashboard runs the same bulk file through all 9 panels, and a 30-minute call turns it into a plan.
This tool tunes placements. The audit tunes everything.
Placement bids are one lever. The full Audit Dashboard runs the same bulk file through all 9 panels: search-term bleed, bid architecture, placement strategy, branded split, and ASIN concentration. Free, same in-browser privacy. A 30-minute call with Alfred turns the findings into the specific changes to make first.
